New Ways to Beethoven • 2.2

Young musicians celebrate the 190th anniversary of Beethoven’s death with their concert – The closing event of the “KOR-TÁRS” concert series
  1. Beethoven: Sonata for Piano, No. 14 in C sharp minor (“Moonlight”), Op. 27
  2. Beethoven: Sonata for Piano, No. 17 in D minor (“Tempest”), Op. 31

  3. Beethoven: String Trio in D major, Op. 9, No. 2
  4. Beethoven: String Trio in C minor, Op. 9, No. 3

The two closing concerts of the KOR-TÁRS series, which features young musicians and is organized this year for the second time, will commemorate the 190th anniversary of Beethoven’s death. All the performers study at the Liszt Academy, and many of them had started their musical studies in one of the country’s preeminent centres of music education, the Járdányi Pál Music School. The friendships made there have led to many a joint concert. The organizers consider it an honour to have pianist Tamás Érdi, another Járdányi alumnus, among the players; like last year, he will again perform at one of the closing concerts.
